The chequered flag falls in the dark. The grandstands exhale, the floodlight masts burn over Yas Marina, the stage at Etihad Park is being tuned. What follows is what half the guests flew in for: the team reception, a deck by the pontoon, a late table at Hakkasan. Spend it between your phone and the hotel lobby, or have beside you someone who carries a conversation in English, knows a sponsor reception from a dinner for two, and doesn't ask the wrong questions. We're the second option. Fifteen years of it.

About the forum
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has been held since 2009 at Yas Marina Circuit, the Hermann Tilke track on Yas Island. The first race ran on 1 November 2009 and entered the record books twice: as the circuit's debut, and as the first World Championship round to start in daylight and finish under artificial light. Lights out was 17:00, sunset came at 17:43. The day-into-night transition is the weekend's signature, and no other round is built that way.
The track measures 5,281 metres across sixteen corners, race distance 58 laps; three sections were reprofiled in 2021. The tarmac runs directly beneath the W Abu Dhabi hotel by Asymptote — the cars disappear into a tunnel under the building, the only such moment in Formula 1. The grandstands hold roughly 60,000, and 203,000 people passed through the venue across the 2025 weekend.
Abu Dhabi traditionally closes the season, and that's not a calendar formality: people fly in for the resolution. In 2025 the title was settled in the final race, with Lando Norris taking the championship. A year earlier McLaren clinched its first constructors' title since 1998 on the same tarmac. The circuit's contract with Formula 1 runs to 2030.
The evening half of the weekend is in the official programme: after every racing day the Yasalam After-Race Concerts run at Etihad Park — in 2025 the stage held Benson Boone, Post Malone with Elyanna, Metallica and Katy Perry. Alongside run the closed formats: team and title-sponsor receptions, the Amber Lounge, parties on the decks in Yas Marina, where superyachts berth for the weekend.
The crowd splits roughly in half. Corporate hospitality — sponsor delegations, team partners, Paddock Club guests scheduled from breakfast to reception. And private guests arriving with their own circle or on their own boat: slower in pace, higher in what they expect on privacy. The evening takes one of two shapes, a reception or a yacht; a quiet dinner for two is the exception, and normally lands on Thursday.
We've worked in Abu Dhabi since 2012, and on the Grand Prix almost from the start. We know a table at Hakkasan for Sunday evening is booked a month out, that the Corniche–circuit drive after qualifying takes forty minutes rather than twenty, and that paddock and yacht experience aren't always the same model.

How we operate during the forum
In an ordinary week Abu Dhabi runs calm: most requests come two or three days ahead and that's enough. During the Grand Prix it doesn't. Island hotels sell out months ahead, restaurants close their books, and the roster fills long before the first practice session.
— The ideal lead time is 30–45 days before 3 December. In that window we settle everything: days, type, languages, venues, dress code for each evening, transfer and meeting point given the island's access rules.
— The minimum lead time is two weeks. We'll take it, but the choice narrows visibly — for Saturday and Sunday only a handful are left.
— Same-day — only if a slot opens up. Across the three racing days that's rare. The honest answer is: today won't work, let's look at Thursday.
The languages we keep for the Grand Prix:
- English — the baseline of the weekend and a hard requirement for the Abu Dhabi roster
- Arabic — a separate part of the roster for the local context and Gulf guests
- Russian — held by most, for guests from Moscow and the CIS
- French, Italian — selectively
What we do without being asked:
- Agree the dress code against the venue: a paddock reception, a yacht deck in daylight and dinner at Emirates Palace are three different looks.
- Work the logistics around access passes. The meeting point is fixed in advance — a named entrance or hotel, not "somewhere near the circuit."
- Budget time for the exit: after the Sunday finish the queue for a car runs an hour or more.
- Stay out of the guest's work chat during the evening. Everything goes through our manager, not the model.
- Keep the local context in mind: alcohol is served only in licensed hotel venues, and in public we behave accordingly.
Where guests stay
Guests split between those who stay on the island and those who choose the city. The first is easier on logistics, but Yas Island rooms go months ahead. The second buys you quiet in the evening.

Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island
Yas Island. More practical than its island neighbours: walking distance to the circuit, Yas Mall and Etihad Park nearby. Often taken by corporate groups who care less about the view than five minutes to the gate. Not the choice for a quiet night.
Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
West Corniche. The capital's flagship, run by Mandarin Oriental since 2020. Private entrances, staff used to protocol guests, Hakkasan on site — our usual dinner address this weekend. 30–35 minutes to Yas Island, longer during race hours.
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort
Saadiyat Island. Beach, low-rise architecture, the Louvre Abu Dhabi fifteen minutes away. Where guests stay who came for the race but don't want to live inside it: about 25 minutes to Yas Island, and in the evening those kilometres work for you.
Rosewood Abu Dhabi
Al Maryah Island. The financial island: the ADGM cluster, The Galleria and Zuma all close. The city is at hand, the circuit 25–30 minutes away, and evenings can be built off Yas entirely. Chosen by guests with business either side of the weekend.

Forum day logistics
A race weekend is stricter than an ordinary forum: the island runs on access passes, and on Sunday evening tens of thousands leave at once on top of the usual traffic.
Getting onto the island.
Yas Island connects to the mainland by bridges, and on race days the approaches are filtered. Entry to the circuit is by ticket and accreditation; paddock and Paddock Club access sits with the guest. The model arrives at an agreed point — a hotel lobby, a named gate, a pontoon. Changing it half an hour out isn't possible.
The day at the circuit.
Friday is free practice: fewer people, a gentler rhythm. Saturday brings qualifying towards evening, grandstands already full. Sunday is the race, starting in the afternoon and finishing after dark. If the guest is trackside all day, we place the evening on the island — driving into the city and back makes no sense.
The drive.
From the Corniche, Saadiyat and Al Maryah to Yas Island it's 25–35 minutes outside peak hours. From Dubai along Sheikh Zayed Road about 90 minutes, and on Sunday evening the return is longer as the island empties onto the highway in one wave. From Zayed International Airport, 15 minutes.
The evening.
The Yasalam concerts at Etihad Park start after the track programme and finish late. In parallel run team and sponsor receptions, formats along the marina, and dinners in the city — Hakkasan at Emirates Palace, Zuma and Coya on Al Maryah. Some venues work by list; the manager gives the current picture for your dates.
Getting back.
After the Sunday race, leaving the island takes an hour or more. If the evening ends on Yas, it's smarter to stay until midnight. We settle it in advance: the model accompanies you to the hotel, or you part at the venue. The guest's call.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the most predictable peak in our year. A short chronicle:
2023 (November 24–26) — the twenty-second and final round of the season, won by Max Verstappen, the first driver to lead more than a thousand laps in one campaign. 170,000 spectators. The first year our race dates closed before the New Year ones.
2024 (December 6–8) — Lando Norris won and McLaren took its first constructors' title in twenty-six years. A farewell weekend for several names: the last race for Carlos Sainz at Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. 190,000 spectators.
2025 (December 5–7) — 203,000 spectators, a record for the weekend. The title was decided in the final race for the first time since 2021: Verstappen won on the road, Norris took the championship by two points. Our Saturday and Sunday slots ran out three weeks before the start.
2026 (December 3–6) — the finale of the first season under the new technical regulations, in a four-day format with Yasalam concerts from Thursday.
2027 (December 3–5, expected) — the FIA confirms the season calendar in the autumn of the preceding year. The finale traditionally falls on the first weekend of December; if the schedule shifts, the manager will tell you and move the booking.

What languages do the models have?
English is a hard requirement for the Abu Dhabi roster, and part of it works at international-protocol level: receptions at Etihad Towers, galas at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Arabic is held by a notable share, Russian by most, French and Italian selectively.
How discreet is this? I'm a public figure.

Abu Dhabi is a capital with strict rules. Isn't that a problem?
We've worked here since 2012 and understand the boundaries. In public the companion behaves as your guest, without drawing attention. Alcohol is served only in licensed hotel venues, and evenings are planned there.

About 90 minutes along Sheikh Zayed Road; on Sunday evening the return is longer. From Zayed International Airport to Yas Island, 15 minutes.
What are the rates during the Grand Prix?
