Frequently asked questions Cannes

Real questions from APEX clients in Cannes: matching, booking, hotels, travel, dress code, payment, confidentiality.

How quickly is a model matched in Cannes in an ordinary week?

30-60 minutes for selection and agreement. For tonight on a weekday out of season — 30-40 minutes. For Friday or Saturday with a day's notice — 60-90 minutes. For a complex scenario with a specific restaurant, a dress code and a move to a second venue — up to two hours.

And during MIPIM, the Film Festival or MIPCOM?

Different arithmetic. For these dates we recommend planning two to four weeks ahead, and a month for the Film Festival and MIPIM. We still take "for tomorrow" requests in those weeks, but we warn you honestly: the choice will be narrow. Terms for peak dates are agreed personally, usually with a deposit.

How much does a companion cost in Cannes?

From €1,500 for 2 hours and from €2,000 for 4 hours in the standard segment. Media segment — from €3,500 for 2 hours and from €5,000 for 4 hours. A night, twenty-four hours, two days and trips outside Cannes are agreed with the manager. Separate terms apply in the major trade-show weeks.

Which hotels do you work with?

The core circle is Carlton Cannes (58 Boulevard de la Croisette), Hôtel Martinez (73), Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic (10), JW Marriott Cannes (50), Le Grand Hôtel (45). Behind the Croisette — Five Seas on Rue Notre-Dame and Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d'Albion on Rue des Serbes. We also work with smaller addresses in the centre and up in the hills of Le Cannet, if that is where you are staying.

Can I invite a companion to a business dinner with partners?

Yes, and it is the most frequent scenario in Cannes. A table of four to eight at Fouquet's, La Môme, Da Laura or Le Park 45, with the companion as part of your party rather than the centre of the table's attention. When you write, say who is at the table, what the evening is about and how formal it is — we'll match a model who holds a conversation and doesn't pull focus.

Can the model come to a reception, an afterparty or the red carpet?

To a corporate reception and an afterparty — yes, provided the client handles entry. To the official montée des marches of the Cannes Film Festival — only on your invitation and with accreditation: access to the red staircase is controlled by the organiser, we hold no passes and we promise none. In practice most festival requests are dinners, parties at the Croisette hotels and on yachts, not the staircase itself.

Is a meeting on a yacht in the Vieux Port or Port Canto possible?

Yes, it is one of our standing formats from May to October, and during the Yachting Festival it is the main one. The model comes to the quay at the agreed time and boards by the crew's invitation. For her safety we agree the vessel's name and the captain's name in advance. If the yacht puts to sea, we clarify the route, the duration and the return transfer; terms by agreement.

What is the dress code in Cannes?

It depends on the venue and the hour. La Palme d'Or, Le Park 45, Fouquet's — jacket for the guest, long or cocktail dress for the companion. La Môme, Da Laura, Rüya at the Carlton — evening smart casual. Bâoli — dress to impress, nothing sporty. Beach clubs by day — beach dress and sandals. We go through the dress code for the specific venue with the model at the coordination stage.

Are there "night" and "24-hour" formats?

Both exist, but we don't publish figures for them — the price is agreed with the manager. Too much depends on the date, the venue and the programme: twenty-four hours in a quiet February and twenty-four hours in Film Festival week are different stories. Send the dates and the scenario, and the manager will give you terms in writing.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash in euros, bank transfer (SEPA/SWIFT through the manager), cryptocurrency — USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20) and BTC. For returning clients, post-payment and individual arrangements are possible. For the weeks of MIPIM, the Film Festival and the Yachting Festival a deposit two to four weeks before the date is normally required.

Is a deposit required for a first booking?

In ordinary weeks — a 30-50% deposit the day before the meeting, the balance on meeting. For peak events — a larger deposit with the model fixed two to four weeks ahead. Returning clients are not usually asked for a deposit: we work on trust.

How far ahead should I book for event weeks?

MIPIM (March) and the Film Festival (May) — a month, two weeks at the very least. Cannes Lions (June), the Yachting Festival (September), MIPCOM (October) — two to three weeks. TFWA at the end of September and ILTM in early December — one to two weeks. Ordinary weeks out of season — a day or two ahead, and often the same evening.

Can we meet at a rented villa or in an apartment?

Yes. In Cannes and around it (Le Cannet, Mougins, Super Cannes, Californie) plenty of clients take a villa for trade-show week. For returning clients — no further questions. For new ones we usually suggest neutral ground for the first meeting: a hotel on the Croisette or a restaurant. The address is not kept on file and is passed to the model only for that specific meeting.

Do you work in Nice, Antibes, Monaco, Saint-Tropez?

Yes, the whole Côte d'Azur is in our zone. Nice is thirty minutes on the A8, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins twenty, Mougins fifteen, Monaco about an hour, Saint-Tropez an hour and a half to two. Any trip outside Cannes is agreed in advance, a day's notice minimum, with terms set separately from the base pricing.

How do I get in from Nice airport?

By car — about thirty minutes on the A8, twenty-seven kilometres; allow up to fifty at rush hour and on festival days. By helicopter — roughly seven minutes, landing at the Quai du Large pad in the Vieux Port (five minutes from the Croisette) or at Cannes-Mandelieu airport. The client's transfer is arranged on the client's side; the model travels to Cannes by her own route.

What if the model doesn't match expectations?

Write to the manager that same hour, not after the meeting. Depending on the cause: a replacement, an adjustment to the scenario, or a partial refund. We have very few such cases, and the reason is almost always the same — an incomplete brief at the agreement stage. The more precise the request, the more precise the match.

What about confidentiality? It's a small town and everyone at the show knows everyone.

We understand, and we take it seriously. Communication only through end-to-end encrypted messengers, no calls and no email. Client data goes to nobody. After the meeting, addresses and details are wiped from working chats within 72 hours. The model knows exactly what she needs for that one evening — not the company name, not who is in the delegation.

What is not part of your format?

Meetings shorter than 2 hours. Presence at a stand or an event without a personal client. Entry to closed venues on someone else's accreditation. Sharing models' photos with third parties. Scenarios that put the model's safety at risk. Haggling after the meeting. We say all of this at the agreement stage, so there are no surprises.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Free of charge — 24 hours ahead at minimum in ordinary weeks, and 7 days ahead in the weeks of MIPIM, the Film Festival, Cannes Lions, the Yachting Festival and MIPCOM. Later than that — a compensation share, usually 30-50%. A cancellation an hour before the meeting — half the slot due. Moving to another date with the same model carries no penalty if she is free.

Contact?

Telegram @Apex_concierge — the only official APEX channel. No phone calls, no other messengers. It is a matter of principle: every detail is recorded in an end-to-end encrypted chat, and for an urgent question a messenger beats a call.

Premium companion service in Cannes — APEX Escort

Cannes is a business town of seventy-four thousand people that hosts international trade shows eight to ten weeks a year and spends those weeks running like an overloaded business district. APEX Escort has worked here since 2012, as part of an international network of 58 cities, and our calendar matches the calendar of the Palais des Festivals: MIPIM in March, the Film Festival in May, Cannes Lions in June, the Yachting Festival in September, MIPCOM in October. The manager replies on Telegram within three minutes. A model is matched in 30-120 minutes in ordinary weeks and booked ahead for peak dates. From €1,500 for two hours.

The Croisette hotels as the main location

Boulevard de la Croisette is two kilometres and more of seafront holding the town's entire hotel base: Carlton Cannes (no. 58, opened in 1913, relaunched under the Regent name in 2023), Hôtel Martinez (no. 73, Art Deco from 1929, with a Michelin star at La Palme d'Or), Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic (no. 10, opposite the Palais des Festivals), JW Marriott Cannes (no. 50, with the 820-seat Palais Stéphanie theatre inside), Le Grand Hôtel (no. 45, the only Croisette hotel set back in its own park). Off the front line — Five Seas on Rue Notre-Dame and Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d'Albion on Rue des Serbes.

Which hotel suits you depends on why you are in town. For a congress week — the Majestic or Five Seas: the Palais des Festivals is walkable, and in those days a car on the Croisette moves slower than a person. For festival May — the Martinez and the Carlton, the two hotels the evening programme is built around. For privacy — Five Seas or Le Grand Hôtel. Staff at the Croisette hotels have worked with returning guests for decades and ask no unnecessary questions when the arrival is handled correctly.

The business calendar: MIPIM, Cannes Lions, MIPCOM, Yachting Festival

MIPIM is the world's largest commercial property exhibition, March, at the Palais des Festivals: over twenty thousand professionals from more than ninety countries, around two and a half thousand exhibitors. Cannes Lions is the festival of creativity, third week of June. MIPCOM is the audiovisual content market, October, some twelve thousand delegates. The Cannes Yachting Festival runs in September — around seven hundred boats from five to fifty metres across two sites: the Vieux Port for motor yachts and Port Canto, where over a hundred sailing yachts are moved. Add TFWA World Exhibition at the end of September, ILTM in early December and Canneseries in April.

It is this calendar, not the season and not the weather, that drives demand for companions in Cannes. In such weeks the request is almost always the same: a partner's evening reception, dinner with the delegation, an afterparty. The format runs from four hours, the dress code is business with an evening shift, and planning goes two to four weeks out. Terms for peak dates are agreed personally through the manager, as a rule with a deposit and the model fixed in advance.

The film festival in May — a regime of its own

The Cannes Film Festival takes up the second half of May: twelve days, accreditation, barriers, a closed seafront, hotels on triple rates booked back in winter. It is the one week of the year where we ask the client in advance to lower expectations on speed: free dates are few, and planning runs a month out or more.

What actually happens in those days is not the red staircase but the evening programme around it: dinners at La Palme d'Or and the Carlton restaurants, receptions on the terraces of the Martinez and the Majestic, closed-list brand evenings at Bâoli on Port Canto. Access to the montée des marches and to invitation-list events is controlled by the organiser: accreditation and invitations are the client's side, we hold no passes and promise none.

Companion scenarios and pricing in Cannes

The main formats: a business dinner with partners (Le Park 45 in the park of Le Grand Hôtel, Fouquet's at the Majestic, Da Laura, La Môme), a dining evening at La Palme d'Or with its Michelin star, an evening on the Croisette moving on to Bâoli, a meeting on board in the Vieux Port or Port Canto, a day on the Lérins islands with lunch at La Guérite, and companion service at the receptions of MIPIM, Cannes Lions, MIPCOM and the Yachting Festival.

Pricing: standard segment — from €1,500 for 2 hours and from €2,000 for 4 hours. Media segment — from €3,500 for 2 hours and from €5,000 for 4 hours. A night, twenty-four hours, two days and any trip outside Cannes are agreed with the manager: too much depends on the date, the route and the scenario for figures to be published. The minimum slot is 2 hours, but a real Cannes evening starts at four. Payment — cash in euros, bank transfer, cryptocurrency.

Logistics, trips out of town and confidentiality

Nice airport is twenty-seven kilometres and about thirty minutes on the A8, up to fifty at rush hour and on festival days. By helicopter it is roughly seven minutes, landing at the Quai du Large pad in the Vieux Port or at Cannes-Mandelieu airport. Trips along the coast: Antibes and Juan-les-Pins twenty minutes, Mougins fifteen, Grasse thirty-five, Nice thirty, Monaco about an hour, Saint-Tropez an hour and a half to two. Any trip outside Cannes is agreed in advance, a day's notice minimum.

Cannes is a small town, and at a trade show half the room knows the other half by sight. Hence: communication only through end-to-end encrypted messengers, no calls and no email. Client data is never passed to third parties. After the meeting, addresses and details are wiped from working chats within 72 hours. The model knows exactly what she needs for that one evening. We follow GDPR practice, and data is deleted on request within a day.

Client reviews

Returning client for two years. They work in different cities to the same standard — that is especially noticeable now as I move between countries often.

— Alexey S.

Confidentiality at the level of a Swiss bank. All communications on Telegram, nothing by email, nothing by SMS. After the meeting everything is wiped — I checked.

— Viktor N.

Dinner with partners — the format went well, the companion looked the part. One downside: the profile did not flag that the model smokes, I found out on site. Not critical, but I will ask next time.

— Timur K.

Booked a companion for a four-day business trip. Visa, tickets, accommodation — all through my assistant, the model's fee on a separate track. Logistically clean.

— Oleg P.

In three years working with APEX there has not been a single meeting that made me want to switch agencies. That says a lot.

— Alexander V.
