Barcelona lives later than most European cities. Dinner starts at nine or ten in the evening, the serious clubs come alive towards one, the rooftop bars run till three or four. This isn't Moscow with its nine o'clock and it isn't London where everything closes by midnight. Here a "morning business breakfast" is noon, and dinner at seven reads as a late lunch.
We hold this specifics in our matching. The manager replies within three minutes at any time of day. Model selection runs 30 to 120 minutes — on a weekday afternoon closer to 30, at the Catalan weekend peak (Thursday to Sunday, 21:00-04:00) closer to two hours. A request for midnight on a Saturday is a normal scenario, not a fire drill, and we're built for it.
On weekdays before MWC and in the off-season we work in standard mode: more choice, calmer schedule. From Thursday to Sunday — peak load, especially in Eixample, Born and Barceloneta. In summer (June-September) activity stays high through the yacht and tourist season.
End of February to the first week of March. The city takes in 40,000 MWC delegates and that changes everything: hotel prices triple or quadruple, tables at Disfrutar and ABaC are booked two months out, corporate dinners run in packages. American and Asian executives — the main audience of the week. The accompaniment requests these days come from clients who want not an "event hostess" but a full premium companion for 3 to 7 days running.
We prepare for MWC well in advance. Our models for that week are booked from late December — those who work in English at a business level, follow telecom and big tech topics, hold a packed schedule (Fira Gran Via receptions during the day, dinner in Eixample in the evening, after-party in Barceloneta at night). Prices that week run above the standard rate, agreed individually.
If you're planning MWC and thinking about accompaniment — write to us in December or January, no later. By February the door into our pool for that week is usually shut.
Eixample is our centre. Passeig de Gràcia with Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, Mandarin Oriental, Majestic, Cotton House, Almanac. From here it's about five minutes on foot to most of the premium restaurants and five minutes by taxi to Born and Barceloneta.
Born and the Gothic Quarter — the old town, narrow streets, places like Cal Pep, bars open till morning. Barceloneta — beach, Hotel Arts, W, seafood at the port. Diagonal Mar and Pedralbes — for clients in the northern business part. Sarrià-Sant Gervasi — quiet hills, restaurants like ABaC.
Out-of-town trips — Sitges (40 minutes south, a gay-friendly resort with a separate format), Cadaqués on Costa Brava (2 hours, Dalí's house, the bay), Begur (1.5 hours, a medieval village and beaches), Girona (1.5 hours, a cultural programme). Andorra — 3.5 hours by car, skiing in winter, tax-free shopping year-round. Any trips agreed in advance, minimum 48 hours.
BCN El Prat airport — 20 to 30 minutes from the centre. Transferring models in a "weekend" or "trip" format is a standard story, especially when the client is flying in to a corporate event in Sitges or coming back from a yacht route.
Hotel Arts, W Barcelona, Mandarin Oriental, Majestic, Casa Fuster, Cotton House — they all receive guests calmly and without questions at reception. This is the Spanish premium segment; the tradition of privacy here runs stronger than the German or Swiss one. The point is that the model arrives in attire that fits the hotel, no luggage, at the agreed time.
Disfrutar, ABaC, Cinc Sentits — Michelin level, smart casual for men and cocktail or evening for the model. Cal Pep and the tapas bars in Born — relaxed but still groomed casual: Barcelona isn't Moscow, you don't wear an evening dress to tapas here, it reads as a tourist misstep.
Palau de la Música and the Liceu — classic dress code for opera and concerts: a long or cocktail dress, heels, restrained jewellery. Eclipse Bar at the W — a sky bar with a sea panorama, cocktail format, no shorts. Sónar and the larger Diagonal clubs — a separate evening story, dress code agreed for the specific venue.
Catalan as a language is a city nuance that occasionally matters. English works everywhere in the premium segment, Spanish is understood by everyone, but owners and maître d's of restaurants in Born and the Gothic Quarter appreciate when a guest at least says hello in Catalan. Our Barcelona-experienced models know this.
We don't take meetings shorter than two hours. In the Catalan rhythm two hours isn't dinner, it's an aperitif. The minimum sensible slot is four hours: enough to eat at Disfrutar or ABaC and do something else. A standard Barcelona evening runs 6 to 8 hours, with dinner, a bar and a late bar or club.
Prices in Barcelona — from $1,200 for 2 hours in the standard pool to $6,000 for two days. Media-tier models — from $3,500 for 2 hours, access to that pool opens to returning clients after several successful meetings. During MWC week prices are individual, above standard.
Sharing a model's photos with third parties is forbidden — that's the first condition we set out. No haggling after the meeting: terms agreed are terms in force. Any concerns about format match are raised in the first hour, not "we'll sort it later".
One real Barcelona nuance is the Catalan holidays, when the city partly shuts down (Diada on 11 September, Mercè in late September, Sant Jordi on 23 April). On those days logistics slow down, restaurants run reduced hours. We warn ahead if your request crosses such a date.
Names stay private — this is what our clients value. What we can show is roles, scope and the work each person does in your scenario.
